Nottingham's premier music magazine/website Leftlion says in its Singles Review section for Januaury 2007:

A very different unique Nottingham band... They have something new and different that the music scene is in need of at the moment... the songs are new and fresh.

Charlie O'Mara of silhobbit.com says this in his Hot News section:

We here at Silhobbit.com reckon that outlaw-prog band Coralspin will be one of the new bands you'll be taking notice of next year. We've already played their track You're Wrong (bet I'm not!) on podcast#24, so you'll have a good idea what I'm talking about...

For now, head on over to their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/coralspin to hear some tracks, or over to stunning vocalist Ellie's page at www.myspace.com/elliefromcoralspin for four sumptuous piano/vocal demo tracks.

Charlie O'Mara of silhobbit.com played You're Wrong on the Silhobbit podcast. (Silhobbit is one of the main prog/classic rock sites in the UK). He said it was "very operatic" and "I thought it was really good, makes a great change". (Podcast mp3 file here. The track listing can be found here (it's podcast #24).)

Rock Society magazine has included our "home demo" in their list of brief reviews -- these are mainly reviews of proper releases -- in issue no. 156 (p. 53):

This demo suggest bright things to come. Gentle songs of strength and some wonderful keyboards backs a very good female voice that you can imagine on a West End stage or singing melodic rock.

Our first ever review was by The Progmeister, who had just started reviewing bands he likes, and we were in his first batch, along with The Reasoning and Touchstone. He says:

Ellie has a deep, powerful alto that reaches into the lower soprano range. It's another voice that can serenade me anytime. The songs on their website are only demos that, by their own admission, need a bit more work, but the potential is clear to see. I suggest that everyone hear You're Wrong. You won't be disappointed. I think you'll be hearing from this U.K. band in the future.
